Chatty Corner

While I was uploading all the catalog from INAZUMA I noticed cute sunbonnet Sue button. I had to get a sample of it to see it. It's on newer of page new catalog (Pg.82 if you have access to it).

It's about little bigger than 1" and made out of wood.

I know a lot of people likes "Sue" stuff.  Too bad the "Sue" zipper charm looks like Mutant Ninja Turtles (American cartoon), and it got discontinued. Maybe I wasn't the only one who thought that way :)

As I was doing some research, I saw one Sunbonnet sue Quilt panel done with OLYMPUS M8 #40 crochet thread!

It was really colorful and cute.  OLYMPUS crochet thread is really high quality and nice. None of OLYMPUS products will bleed when you wash. Don't you hate when you have to prep your threads by dipping it in vinegar and stuff?

What's nice about Olympus thread is not just about color fastness. Once you start using it, you will know but thread will never tangle so it is really easy to work with. It is really gentle on your hands too, so if you are making something for baby or someone with sensitive skin, OLYMPUS might be something you might want to take a look at.

I tried doing Sashiko with Crochet thread but it didn't quite work... Thread was too thin, and also I tried it on white sashiko cloth so that was part of the reason.  Well, never know until you try it, and not everything actually works.
