Sashiko Embroidery

Recently we are getting more and more inquiry for Sashiko.
Sashiko is an old Japanese running stitch technique that has been passed down from generation to generationn through centuries.

For those who are not familiar with Sashiko, or would like to learn to start selling Sashiko, let me tell you a little bit about Sashiko.

The very left package of fabric is Sashiko sampler. They are preprinted wash-out Sashiko patterns. Depending on the pattern, you have a color option of white, navy or even other colors like pink or mustard.

Then Sashiko thread, Sashiko needle and leather thimble.

This would be the complete starter kit to Sashiko. At a store, this should run more or less around $20.

Sashiko sampler can be made into a dishcloth as intended traditionally, or you can make them into a 12" pillow.

If you would like to learn and teach how to stitch traditional Sashiko, please check out the Sashiko Correspondance course.
